Adhyaya 27 — Madālasa’s Instruction to King Alarka: Royal Ethics, Self-Conquest, and Statecraft
etad rājñaḥ paraṃ kṛtyaṃ tathaitat siddhikārakam / svadharmasthāpanaṃ nṛṇāṃ cālyante ye kubuddhibhiḥ

The ruler’s ‘success’ is measured by dharma-restoration, not conquest: correcting misdirection caused by poor judgment and re-rooting people in rightful conduct.
Normative dharma instruction; ancillary to purāṇic narrative aims rather than a direct pancalakṣaṇa category.
‘Kubuddhi’ signifies distorted discernment; the teaching points to restoring right orientation (svadharma) when consciousness is destabilized by false reasoning.
