उपाध्यायमधः कृत्वा स्तब्धो योऽध्ययनं नरः ।

गृह्णाति शिल्पमथवा सोऽप्येवं शिरसा शिलाम् ॥

upādhyāyam adhaḥ kṛtvā stabdho yo 'dhyayanaṃ naraḥ / gṛhṇāti śilpam athavā so 'pyevaṃ śirasā śilām

جو شخص تکبر سے اپنے استاد کی بےحرمتی کر کے علم حاصل کرتا ہے—یا کوئی ہنر سیکھتا ہے—وہ بھی سزا پاتا ہے؛ وہ اپنے سر پر پتھر اٹھائے رہتا ہے۔
