Adhyaya 14 — The Messenger of Yama Explains Karmic Retribution and the Causes of Naraka Torments

mūṣāyām api paśyaitān nāśyamānān yamānugaiḥ / puruṣaiḥ puruṣāvyāghra ! paradārāvamarṣiṇaḥ

The text frames adultery as a destructive transgression against social and familial dharma; the ‘furnace’ punishment mirrors the burning nature of illicit passion and its capacity to consume discernment.
Dharma/karmaphala teaching segment; not directly sarga/pratisarga/vaṃśa/manvantara/vaṃśānucarita.
The crucible symbolizes passions that ‘melt down’ moral structure. Yama’s agents represent the inexorable moral law that processes actions into consequences.
