देवसत्रे मृत्युनिरोधः, पूर्वेन्द्राणां मानुषावतरणम्, द्रौपदी-वरकथनम्

अर्जुनेन प्रयुक्तांस्तान् बाणान् वेगवतस्तदा । प्रतिहत्य ननादोच्चै: सैन्यानि तदपूजयन्
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: Arjunena prayuktāṁs tān bāṇān vegavatas tadā pratihatya nanādoccaiḥ; sainyāni tad apūjayan.
اسی وقت ارجن کے چلائے ہوئے تیز تیروں کو روک کر اور کاٹ کر کرن نے بلند آواز میں شیر کی طرح دھاڑ ماری؛ اور تمام لشکروں نے اس کے اس عجیب کارنامے کی داد دی۔
