pulastya uvāca | maheśvarasya māhātmyaṃ śṛṇu pārthivasattama | atra te kīrtayiṣyāmi pūrvavṛttaṃ kathāṃtaram

Translation

Sinabi ni Pulastya: “O pinakadakila sa mga hari, pakinggan mo ang kadakilaan ni Maheśvara. Dito’y isasalaysay ko sa iyo ang isang pangyayaring nagdaan—isa pang yugto ng sinaunang salaysay.”
