sa jñātvā janakaṃ dhvastaṃ viṣṇunā prabhaviṣṇunā | tapastepe tatastīvraṃ gokarṇaṃ prāpya parvatam
Nang malaman niyang ang kanyang ama ay napuksa ni Viṣṇu, ang makapangyarihang Panginoon, siya’y nagtungo sa bundok ng Gokarṇa at nagsagawa ng mabagsik na pag-aayuno at pagninilay (tapas).
