Type: kshetra
Scene: A group of petitioners (likely brāhmaṇas/elders) in a verdant sacred precinct request the founding of an excellent city and the granting of household establishments; the king or patron is approached with folded hands; the kṣetra glows with auspicious signs.
Supporting righteous settlement in a sacred region—especially enabling brāhmaṇas to live and perform dharma—strengthens both worldly order and spiritual welfare.
A ‘kṣetra’ (holy region) in Nāgarakhaṇḍa Tīrthamāhātmya is implied; the precise name is not present in this verse.
No specific rite is prescribed; the request concerns establishing gārhasthya (households) to sustain ongoing dharmic life.
