Tirtha: Śiva-kṣetras established in Camatkāra-pura / Hāṭakeśvara region (as a set)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Ṛṣis
Scene: Forest assembly of sages questioning Sūta: scrolls and ritual implements nearby; behind them, a visionary tableau of multiple Śiva-kṣetras being ‘carried’—miniature liṅgas, sacred waters, and temple icons—toward a new city.
Sacred places are preserved through dharmic transmission—remembering the founders’ lineages honors continuity of tīrtha-tradition.
The verse introduces the topic broadly—multiple Śiva-kṣetras associated with the Nāgarakhaṇḍa setting (detailed later in the chapter).
No direct ritual is prescribed here; it is an inquiry requesting genealogical and tīrtha-related details.
