Inquiry into Śiva-knowledge and Śiva’s self-manifestation in creation
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Paśupatinātha
Significance: General (non-sthala-specific): honoring Śaiva devotees and following Śiva’s ordinances is said to lead to vimukti (release) and deep bhakti-saturation.
Type: stotra
Role: liberating
Offering: pushpa
It teaches that moksha arises through bhakti that transforms the seeker, expressed outwardly as honoring Shiva’s devotees and living according to Shaiva dharma; grace-bearing devotion ripens into liberation.
Following “Shiva’s ordinances” includes Saguna Shiva worship—reverence to the Linga, temple discipline, and respectful conduct toward devotees—through which devotion matures and leads toward the realization of Shiva as Pati (the liberating Lord).
It implies steady Shaiva observance: daily Shiva-puja (especially Linga worship), japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), and devotee-sevā; these cultivate the inner bhāva that culminates in release.
