मूर्ध्नि मूलेन लिंगस्य शिवहस्तं प्रविन्यसेत् । शतमर्धं तदर्धं वा क्रमाद्द्रव्यैश्च सप्तभिः
mūrdhni mūlena liṃgasya śivahastaṃ pravinyaset | śatamardhaṃ tadardhaṃ vā kramāddravyaiśca saptabhiḥ
Sa paglalagay ng “kamay ni Śiva” (Śiva-mudrā) sa tuktok ng ulo, na nakaayon sa ugat ng Liṅga, isagawa ang ritwal ayon sa wastong pagkakasunod gamit ang pitong sangkap—maaaring buong isang daan (handog/pagbigkas), o kalahati nito, o kalahati pa ng kalahati.

It links outer worship (ordered offerings with sacred substances) to inner alignment—placing the Śiva-gesture at the crown signifies offering one’s highest consciousness to Pati (Shiva), the liberator of the bound soul (paśu) from bonds (pāśa).
The Liṅga is Saguna Shiva’s accessible support for devotion and concentration; aligning the worshipper’s crown with the Liṅga’s base symbolizes establishing Shiva’s presence in one’s own being while performing regulated, scriptural worship.
It prescribes a sequenced Linga-puja using seven consecrated substances, with a counted discipline (100, 50, or 25 cycles) alongside a Śiva-mudrā/hand-placement at the crown—supporting mantra-japa and focused meditation.
