Pañcāvaraṇa-mārga Stotra to Yogeśvara Śiva
त्वदधीनमिदं कृत्स्नं जगद्धि ससुरासुरम् । अतस्त्वद्विहितामाज्ञां क्षमते को ऽतिवर्तितुम्
tvadadhīnamidaṃ kṛtsnaṃ jagaddhi sasurāsuram | atastvadvihitāmājñāṃ kṣamate ko 'tivartitum

It affirms Shiva as Pati—the supreme Lord whose governance pervades all beings. In Shaiva Siddhanta, liberation arises when the pashu (soul) aligns with the Lord’s ordinance, recognizing that all power and order ultimately rest in Shiva.
Worship of the Shiva Linga is a concrete, saguna means to honor the transcendent Lord who rules the cosmos. By offering to the Linga, the devotee trains the mind to accept Shiva’s supreme authority and to live in harmony with His dharmic command.
A practical takeaway is daily japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with the intention of surrendering one’s will to Shiva’s ajna, supported by simple Shiva-upasana such as vibhuti (Tripundra) and mindful restraint (niyama).
