Threefold Nyāsa and the Procedure of Elemental Purification
ऋं ःं कपोलयोश्चैव ऌअं ॡं नासापुटद्वये । एमेमोष्ठद्वयोरोमौं दंतपंक्तिद्वयोः क्रमात् । अं जिह्वायामथो तालुन्यः प्रयोज्यो यथाक्रमम् । कवर्गं दक्षिणे हस्ते न्यसेत्पञ्चसु संधिषु
ṛṃ ḥṃ kapolayoścaiva ḷaṃ ḹṃ nāsāpuṭadvaye | ememoṣṭhadvayoromauṃ daṃtapaṃktidvayoḥ kramāt | aṃ jihvāyāmatho tālunyaḥ prayojyo yathākramam | kavargaṃ dakṣiṇe haste nyasetpañcasu saṃdhiṣu
Ilagay ang mga binhing pantig na ‘ṛṃ’ at ‘ḥṃ’ sa dalawang pisngi; ang ‘ḷaṃ’ at ‘ḹṃ’ sa dalawang butas ng ilong. Sa wastong pagkakasunod, ilagay ang ‘e’ at ‘me’ sa dalawang labi, at ang ‘omauṃ’ sa dalawang hanay ng ngipin. Pagkaraan, ilagay ang ‘aṃ’ sa dila, at ang pantig na ‘yaḥ’ sa ngalangala, ayon sa itinakda. Sunod, itanim ang pangkat ng mga titik na ‘ka’ sa kanang kamay, sa limang kasukasuan nito.

This verse teaches mantra-nyāsa: sanctifying the body as a temple of Pati (Śiva) by placing bīja-syllables on the senses and speech-organs, so the practitioner’s awareness becomes fit for Śiva-worship and liberation-oriented meditation.
Nyāsa is a preparatory limb of Saguna Śiva-upāsanā: before Linga-pūjā, the devotee installs Śiva’s mantra-power into the body, aligning breath, speech, and perception so worship becomes inwardly consecrated, not merely external.
It prescribes kara- and aṅga-nyāsa using bīja-syllables—placing specific sounds on cheeks, nostrils, lips, teeth, tongue, palate, and then the ka-varga on the right hand’s five joints—typically performed before japa (including Pañcākṣarī) and Linga-pūjā.
