शिवसंस्कार-दीक्षानिरूपणम् (Śivasaṃskāra and the Typology of Dīkṣā)
Suta Goswami (narrating Shaiva philosophical teaching to the sages at Naimisharanya)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Significance: Frames bhakti-sevā to Śiva as the upāya (means) for mumukṣus until direct realization; encourages sustained sādhana rather than premature abandonment.
It teaches that for the mumukṣu, Śiva-sevā and bhakti are the reliable means until direct realization arises; even after realization, devotion continues as stable orientation to Śiva while one abides in tattva.
It supports sustained Saguna worship—such as Linga-sevā—as the practical discipline for seekers, which matures into realization of Śiva as the supreme tattva, without abandoning reverence and devotion.
Regular Śiva-sevā: daily Linga worship with mantra-japa (especially the Panchākṣarī ‘Om Namaḥ Śivāya’), along with steady bhakti and contemplation, maintained until one is established in the highest reality.
