The Esoteric Rites for the Bodies of Liberated Ascetics

It highlights Śiva’s anugraha (saving grace): the Lord elevates the devotee by bestowing divine likeness and spiritual authority, showing that liberation and exalted status arise from the Lord’s compassionate sanction, not merely personal effort.
The verse emphasizes Saguna Śiva as the personal Lord who actively grants boons and consecrations; Linga-worship is a primary Shaiva means to seek this same grace of Śaṅkara, the Sarveśa, who responds to devotion with tangible blessings.
Seek Śiva’s grace through daily Panchākṣarī japa (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and abhiṣeka to the Śiva-liṅga; pray for inner consecration (abhiṣeka) of the mind so it becomes fit to serve the Lord’s gaṇas through disciplined devotion.
