Noon, nanginginig ang malalaking tarangkahan at nagkadurug-durog ang mga bahay at mga toreng-daan; ang Laṅkā, sa gabing nilamon ng takot, ay waring sumasayaw at nangingatal.
Then the mighty gates of Lanka shaking, homes shattered, stricken with fear that night it seemed Lanka was dancing.
Adharma, when confronted by righteous force, becomes unstable and fearful; the imagery of Laṅkā shaking underscores that wrongdoing cannot remain secure when Dharma advances.
In the night-time turmoil at Laṅkā, the city’s fortifications and buildings shake and break, indicating a powerful disturbance caused by the vānaras’ actions—especially Hanumān’s might.
Hanumān’s awe-inspiring strength (vīrya) is implied—his power is so great that the entire city appears to tremble.
