कुम्भकर्णवधश्रवणेन रावणविलापः
Ravana’s Lament on Hearing of Kumbhakarna’s Slaying

Masdan—ang mga pangkat ng mga deva, kasama ang mga rishi, ay nakatindig sa kalangitan; nang makita nilang ikaw ay napatay sa digmaan, sila’y sumisigaw sa malakas na pagdiriwang.
"Having found an opportunity, all the Vanaras, highly rejoiced, on this very day, will surely climb over the gates of forts of Lanka determined."
The verse frames the war as moral-cosmic: when oppressive power falls, the guardians of Dharma (devas/ṛṣis) rejoice—suggesting that Adharma brings universal repudiation.
Rāvaṇa imagines (or reports) celestial witnesses celebrating Kumbhakarṇa’s death, deepening his humiliation and grief.
The devas and sages represent the virtue of upholding Dharma—endorsing the righteous side through their approval.
