The Vanaras of terrific deeds, like hills in form, resembling iron bars attacked many Rakshasas in the battle.
The verse portrays overwhelming force; within a dharmic framework, such power is justified only when aligned with protection of the righteous cause, not personal rage or cruelty.
The Vānaras gain momentum, using sheer bodily strength to defeat the Rākṣasas in close combat.
Valor and steadfastness in combat are emphasized (vīrya), presented as formidable when disciplined toward the war’s rightful end.
