On encamping the army, lord Bharata, the best among men, wished to approach onfoot Rama who was devoted to his father.
Respectful conduct and humility are dharmic: Bharata approaches on foot, and Rāma is praised as one who honors the father’s word (satya).
Having camped his troops near Citrakūṭa, Bharata personally goes to meet Rāma, choosing the humble mode of travel on foot.
Bharata’s humility and reverence, and Rāma’s fidelity to paternal command (truthfulness in action).
