Glory of Puruṣottama: Pañcatīrthī Observance and Narasiṃha Worship
तस्माज्ज्येष्ठे प्रयत्नेन गंतव्यं विधिनंदिनि । कृत्वा सम्यक्पंचतीर्थीं द्रष्टव्यः पुरुषोत्तमः ॥ ८ ॥
tasmājjyeṣṭhe prayatnena gaṃtavyaṃ vidhinaṃdini | kṛtvā samyakpaṃcatīrthīṃ draṣṭavyaḥ puruṣottamaḥ || 8 ||
Kaya nga, O Vidhinandini, sa buwan ng Jyeṣṭha ay dapat maglakbay nang may taimtim na pagsisikap; matapos maisagawa nang wasto ang pañca-tīrtha, dapat masdan si Puruṣottama.

It links sacred time (Jyeṣṭha), sacred practice (pañca-tīrtha), and sacred goal (darśana of Purushottama), teaching that disciplined pilgrimage and correct observance culminate in direct devotional encounter with Vishnu.
Bhakti is expressed here as purposeful effort (prayatna), ritual purity and completion (samyak-kṛtvā), and culminating darśana—seeing the Lord—where devotion becomes tangible through pilgrimage and worship.
Kalpa (ritual procedure) is implied by “samyak” and the prescribed pañca-tīrtha observance, and Jyotiṣa (sacred calendrics) is implied by specifying the month of Jyeṣṭha for undertaking the rite.
