The Procedure for Offering Piṇḍa (Funerary Rice-balls) — Gayā-māhātmya
फल्गुतीर्थे नरः स्नात्वा तर्पणं श्राद्धमाचरेत् । सपिंडकं स्वसूत्रोक्तं नमेदथ पितामहम् ॥ ८९ ॥
phalgutīrthe naraḥ snātvā tarpaṇaṃ śrāddhamācaret | sapiṃḍakaṃ svasūtroktaṃ namedatha pitāmaham || 89 ||
Pagkaligo sa Phalgu-tīrtha, dapat magsagawa ang tao ng tarpaṇa (pag-aalay ng tubig) at isakatuparan ang mga ritong śrāddha; saka, ayon sa itinakda sa sariling Gṛhya-sūtra, gawin ang sapiṇḍīkaraṇa at pagkatapos ay yumukod sa mga ninuno.
