The Procedure for Offering Piṇḍa (Funerary Rice-balls) — Gayā-māhātmya

गृहीत्वांजलिना तेभ्यः पितृतीर्थेन यत्नतः । सक्तना मुष्टिमात्रेण दद्यादक्षय्यपिंडकम् ॥ २३ ॥

gṛhītvāṃjalinā tebhyaḥ pitṛtīrthena yatnataḥ | saktanā muṣṭimātreṇa dadyādakṣayyapiṃḍakam || 23 ||

Maingat na sumalok ng tubig para sa mga Pitṛ sa nakatikom na palad, gamit ang Pitṛ-tīrtha ng kamay; at maghandog ng piṇḍa na di-nauubos—isang dakot lamang—na hinaluan ng butil ng sebada.
