Gaṅgā-māhātmya

वसुरुवाच । अथावगाहनादीनां कर्मणां फलमुच्यते । सावधाना श्रृणुष्व त्वं ब्रह्मपुत्रि नृपप्रिये ॥ १ ॥

vasuruvāca | athāvagāhanādīnāṃ karmaṇāṃ phalamucyate | sāvadhānā śrṛṇuṣva tvaṃ brahmaputri nṛpapriye || 1 ||

Wika ni Vasu: “Ngayon ay ipaliliwanag ang mga bunga ng mga ritwal na nagsisimula sa banal na paglusong at pagligo (avagāhana) at iba pa. Makinig kang mabuti, O anak na babae ni Brahmā, minamahal ng hari.”
