FAQs

It emphasizes tīrtha-snānā (ritual bathing at a pilgrimage site) as a direct means of inner and outer purification, declaring this place as exceptionally powerful for generating puṇya.

While the verse is primarily about tīrtha-mahātmya, it supports bhakti in practice: approaching a sacred place with the intention of purification and faith is treated as a meritorious, devotional act aligned with dharmic living.

Ritual application (kalpa-style practice) is implied: the act of snāna at a specified tīrtha and the understanding that place-name and rite together determine the intended dharmic result (puṇya).
