The Recitation of the Thousand Names of Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa (Yugala-Sahasranāma) and Śaraṇāgati-Dharma
līlāvidhvastaśakaṭo vedamaṃtrābhiṣecitaḥ | yaśodānaṃdanaḥ kāṃto munikoṭiniṣevitaḥ || 42 ||
Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: vira
It presents Krishna as simultaneously the playful child of Vraja and the Veda-sanctioned Supreme Lord—worthy of formal Vedic consecration and the reverence of innumerable sages.
By praising the Lord’s lilas (like destroying the cart demon) and His lovable form as Yaśodā’s son, the verse models bhakti through affectionate remembrance (smaraṇa) and devotional glorification (stuti).
The verse points to mantra-based worship—abhisheka/consecration performed with Vedic mantras—indicating correct ritual application grounded in Vedic recitation and procedure.
