कालिं द्याद्या महिष्योऽष्टौ वसुपत्रेषु संस्थिताः । पीठकोणेषु बद्ध्वादिकिंकणीं च तथा पुनः ॥ ७२ ॥
kāliṃ dyādyā mahiṣyo'ṣṭau vasupatreṣu saṃsthitāḥ | pīṭhakoṇeṣu baddhvādikiṃkaṇīṃ ca tathā punaḥ || 72 ||
Ilagay muna si Kāli, saka itakda ang walong mahīṣyaḥ (mga babaeng kalabaw/baka) sa lotus ng mga Vasu. Pagkatali ng maliliit na kampanilya (kiṅkiṇī) sa mga sulok ng pedestal, magpatuloy muli sa susunod na hakbang ng ritwal.
