Narada (in prayer/instructional narration within the Vidya context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It presents mantra-vidyā as a revealed, grace-bestowed knowledge: the seeker prays to the Lord of Knowledge, and the “thirty-three-syllabled” mantra is described as a direct means to attain Mahāvidyā (higher spiritual insight).
The verse models bhakti through surrender and petition—approaching the divine source of knowledge (Vidyeśa) with humility—showing that realization and mantra-power arise from divine favor, not mere intellectual effort.
It highlights technical mantra-discipline: attention to akṣara (syllable) count and the principle that specific mantras are classified by structure and promised fruit (phala), a key feature of Vedic ritual/mantra application.
