Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It highlights atithi-dharma and annadāna as sacred acts: the divine accepts a devotee’s hospitality, showing that reverent offering of food becomes a spiritually meritorious rite when done with proper respect and sanction.
Bhakti is expressed through humble service—Gautama’s folded hands and the invitation to dine indicate devotion embodied as respectful hospitality, where serving food becomes an offering to the divine.
The verse reflects prayoga (ritual practice) and dharma-śāstric etiquette: proper reception of a revered guest and the rule of acting with anu-mati (authorization/consent), aligning household ritual conduct with sanctioned procedure.
