Mantra-Māhātmya and Sādhana of Kārtavīryārjuna
Nyāsa, Yantra, Homa, and Dīpa-Vrata
यवैर्हुते श्रियः प्राप्तिस्तिलैराज्यैरघक्षयः । तिलतंडुलसिद्धार्थजालैर्वश्यो नृपो भवेत् ॥ ३३ ॥
yavairhute śriyaḥ prāptistilairājyairaghakṣayaḥ | tilataṃḍulasiddhārthajālairvaśyo nṛpo bhavet || 33 ||
Kapag ang handog sa banal na apoy ay inialay gamit ang sebada, nakakamit ang kasaganaan ni Śrī (Lakṣmī); kapag gamit ang linga at ghee, napapawi ang mga kasalanan. Sa pag-aayos ng linga, bigas, at puting mustasa (siddhārtha) bilang ritwal na hanay, maging ang isang hari ay maaaring mapasailalim sa impluwensiya.

It presents a dravya–phala principle: specific homa substances (barley, sesame, ghee) are linked to specific outcomes—prosperity and purification—showing that ritual action is meant to align worldly welfare with ethical cleansing.
While primarily technical, it supports bhakti indirectly by prescribing pure, sattvic offerings and expiatory substances (like sesame with ghee) that remove obstacles (agha) and make worship and mantra-sādhana more efficacious.
It highlights ritual-technical knowledge: selecting dravyas for homa and understanding their phala (results), a core applied aspect of Kalpa (Vedanga dealing with ritual procedures).
