The Description of the Worship of Rāma and Others
Rāmādi-pūjā-vidhāna
ādyaṃ bījaṃ ca hṛcchaktirviniyogo'khilāptaye | ṣaḍdīrghabhājā bījena ṣaḍaṃgāni samācaret || 8 ||
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It frames mantra-practice as a disciplined, goal-oriented sādhana: the bīja is identified, the inner force (hṛcchakti) is invoked, and the viniyoga clarifies the intended fruit—then the practitioner seals the practice through ṣaḍaṅga-nyāsa.
Though technical, it supports bhakti by prescribing a reverent method of mantra-japa and nyāsa—channeling devotion through correct application (viniyoga) and inner concentration in the heart (hṛcchakti).
It highlights ritual-technical procedure—viniyoga and ṣaḍaṅga (aṅga-nyāsa) as applied mantra-science, aligning recitation with prescribed phonetics/structure (notably the mention of dīrgha vowels) and correct ritual deployment.
