Devapūjā-krama: Ārghya-saṃskāra, Maṇḍala–Nyāsa, Mudrā-pradarśana, Āvaraṇa-arcana, Homa, Japa, and Kṣamāpaṇa
devatāpārṣadebhyo'pi pūrvoktebhyo baliṃ dadet | ye raudrā raudrakarmāṇo raudrasthānanivāsinaḥ || 95 ||
Narada (teaching in a ritual-technical context within Book 1.3)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhayanaka
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches ritual completeness and protection: along with the primary deities, one also honors their attendant forces—especially fierce, Rudra-aligned beings—so that the rite remains unobstructed and harmonized.
Bhakti here is expressed as reverent, orderly worship: devotion is not only inner feeling but also careful observance of prescribed offerings, acknowledging the broader divine retinue without confusing them with the supreme object of worship.
It reflects Kalpa-style ritual procedure: the rule to offer bali to specified classes (pārṣadas/raudra beings) as part of correct ceremonial sequencing and appeasement within rites.
