The Greatness of Viṣṇu
Viṣṇor Māhātmya
Sanatkumara (in instruction to Narada, within the Narada–Sanatkumara dialogue)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches that the Lord values devotion expressed through humble service to His selfless devotees; even a small gift offered with reverence becomes spiritually great and makes one dear to Bhagavān.
Bhakti is shown as practical and relational: honoring Viṣṇu’s devotees (bhakta-sevā) and offering simple support with a pure motive is itself a direct expression of devotion.
No specific Vedāṅga technique is taught in this verse; the practical takeaway is dharmic conduct—niṣkāma-dāna (selfless giving) and proper etiquette toward sādhus/Vaiṣṇavas.
