Adhyaya 22 — Kuvalayashva’s Death through Daitya-Deceit and Madalasa’s Self-Immolation
संग्रामे युध्यमाना येऽभीता गोद्विजरक्षणे ।
क्षुण्णाः शस्त्रैर्विपद्यन्ते त एव भुवि मानवाः ॥
saṃgrāme yudhyamānā ye 'bhītā godvijarakṣaṇe | kṣuṇṇāḥ śastrair vipadyante ta eva bhuvi mānavāḥ ||
Yaong lumalaban sa digmaan nang walang takot, alang‑alang sa pag‑iingat sa mga baka at sa mga brāhmaṇa, at nabubuwal—pinapatay ng sandata—sila lamang ang tunay na mga lalaki sa ibabaw ng daigdig.
