स्त्रीस्वभावप्रश्नः — Nārada and Pañcacūḍā on Strī-svabhāva

Anuśāsana-parva 38

अत्र गाथा: पुरागीता: कीर्तयन्ति पुराविद: । सृष्टवा द्विजातीन्‌ धाता हि यथापूर्व समादधत्‌

atra gāthāḥ purāgītāḥ kīrtayanti purāvidaḥ | sṛṣṭvā dvijātīn dhātā hi yathāpūrva samādadhat ||

Sinabi ni Bhīṣma: “Dito, isinasalaysay ng mga nakaaalam ng sinaunang salaysay ang ilang matatandang taludtod na inawit noong unang panahon. Nang likhain ng Lumikha (Dhātṛ) ang mga ‘dalawang ulit na isinilang’, itinatag Niya sila gaya ng dati at itinuro: ‘Para sa inyo, wala nang ibang tungkulin kundi ang masinop na pagsunod sa sariling dharma at ang paglilingkod sa mga brāhmaṇa. Kapag ang brāhmaṇa ay pinangangalagaan, pinangangalagaan din niya ang nagtatanggol sa kanya; kaya sa paglilingkod sa brāhmaṇa, natitiyak ang inyong pinakamataas na kapakanan.’”
