ब्राह्मणप्रतिपूजायामायु: कीर्तिययशो बलम् । लोका लोकेश्चराश्वैव सर्वे ब्राह्मणपूजका:
brāhmaṇa-pratipūjāyām āyuḥ kīrtir yaśo balam | lokā lokeśvarāś caiva sarve brāhmaṇa-pūjakāḥ |
Wika ni Vāyu: “Sa paggalang at wastong pagsamba sa mga brāhmaṇa, nakakamit ang mahabang buhay, katanyagan, mabuting pangalan, at lakas. Tunay nga, ang lahat ng daigdig—pati ang mga panginoon ng mga daigdig—ay mga sumasamba sa mga brāhmaṇa.”
वायुदेव उवाच
The verse teaches that honoring brāhmaṇas—symbols of sacred learning, discipline, and restraint—is a dharmic act that yields tangible fruits (longevity, fame, reputation, strength) and aligns one with the wider cosmic order, since even the rulers of the worlds are said to revere them.
Vāyudeva is speaking within an instructional context (anuśāsana), emphasizing the merit and social-religious importance of brāhmaṇa worship/ सम्मान, presenting it as a universally upheld practice across realms and by cosmic authorities.
