Aditi’s Lament and Kaśyapa’s Instruction of the Payo-vrata (Milk Vow) to Please Keśava
This verse teaches that worship should be performed generously and sincerely, free from any cheating or miserliness regarding one’s wealth, and that offerings should be properly prepared and offered to Lord Viṣṇu.
In the context of the Payo-vrata taught for pleasing Viṣṇu, Śukadeva outlines the specific devotional procedure—including a milk-based oblation—so the worship is done according to the vow’s injunctions.
Offer what you can with integrity—no show, no stinginess, no dishonesty—and make your offerings thoughtfully and cleanly as an act of devotion to Viṣṇu.
