एवमुक्तस्तदा तेन ब्रह्मणा लोककर्तृणा । उवाच सद्यः पङ्क्तिं मे धान्यानां देहि पद्मज ॥ ७१.१२ ॥

evam uktas tadā tena brahmaṇā lokakartṛṇā | uvāca sadyaḥ paṅktiṃ me dhānyānāṃ dehi padmaja || 71.12 ||

เมื่อพระพรหมผู้สร้างโลกตรัสดังนั้น ฤๅษีจึงกล่าวทันทีว่า “โอ้ปัทมชะ ผู้บังเกิดจากดอกบัว โปรดประทานธัญญาหารเป็นหนึ่งแถวแก่ข้าพเจ้าโดยพลัน”
