यम उवाच ॥ देवर्षे श्रूयतां पुण्यं यद्ब्रवीषि महामुने ॥ त्वदुक्त्या मे कथयतः शृणुष्वावहितोऽनघ ॥

yama uvāca || devarṣe śrūyatāṃ puṇyaṃ yad bravīṣi mahāmune || tvaduktyā me kathayataḥ śṛṇuṣvāvahito'nagha ||

ยมกล่าวว่า: โอ้เทวฤๅษี โอ้มหามุนี ขอให้คำสอนอันเป็นบุญที่ท่านกล่าวนั้นได้ถูกรับฟัง ตามถ้อยคำของท่าน เมื่อเรากล่าวอธิบาย จงฟังด้วยความตั้งใจเถิด โอ้ผู้ปราศจากมลทิน
