कृत्वा तु पिण्डसंकल्पं पश्चात्तापं चकार ह ॥ अकृतं मुनिभिः सर्वं किं मया तदनुष्ठितम् ॥
kṛtvā tu piṇḍasaṃkalpaṃ paścāttāpaṃ cakāra ha || akṛtaṃ munibhiḥ sarvaṃ kiṃ mayā tad anuṣṭhitam ||
แต่ครั้นตั้งสังกัลปะเกี่ยวกับการถวายปิณฑะแล้ว เขาก็เกิดความสำนึกผิดว่า “หากสิ่งทั้งปวงนี้เหล่ามุนีมิได้กระทำ แล้วเหตุใดเราจึงไปประกอบอนุษฐานนั้น?”
