ईश्वर उवाच । दक्षिणां दिशमास्थाय पुनः पश्चान्मुखी तदा । सरस्वती महादेवी वडवानलधारिणी । तदुत्तरे तटे तीर्थमेकद्वारमिति स्मृतम्
īśvara uvāca | dakṣiṇāṃ diśamāsthāya punaḥ paścānmukhī tadā | sarasvatī mahādevī vaḍavānaladhāriṇī | taduttare taṭe tīrthamekadvāramiti smṛtam
พระอีศวรตรัสว่า: เมื่อทรงมุ่งสู่ทิศใต้แล้ว พระเทวีสรัสวตีมหาเทวี ผู้ทรงไว้ซึ่งไฟวฑวานล (ไฟใต้สมุทร) ก็หันกลับไปเผชิญทิศตะวันตก ณ ฝั่งเหนือของนาง มีตถีรถะอันเลื่องชื่อว่า “เอกทวาร”
