ब्राह्मण उवाच । यदि देवाः प्रसन्ना मे कूपान्निष्कमणे त्वहम् । यष्टा स्वं मंदिरं गत्वा देवयज्ञं करोम्यहम्

brāhmaṇa uvāca | yadi devāḥ prasannā me kūpānniṣkamaṇe tvaham | yaṣṭā svaṃ maṃdiraṃ gatvā devayajñaṃ karomyaham

พราหมณ์กล่าวว่า: “หากเหล่าเทพทรงพอพระทัยในข้าพเจ้า ขอให้ข้าพเจ้าออกจากบ่อนี้ได้ แล้วข้าพเจ้าจะกลับสู่เรือนของตนและประกอบเทวะยัญญะโดยชอบธรรม”
