उक्त्वा ते तु पुनर्बालं वीक्ष्य वै क्षीणजीवितम् । दिनानि पंच ते ह्यायुर्ज्ञात्वा भीतास्ततोऽनृतात्

uktvā te tu punarbālaṃ vīkṣya vai kṣīṇajīvitam | dināni paṃca te hyāyurjñātvā bhītāstato'nṛtāt

แต่ครั้นกล่าวดังนั้นแล้ว ท่านทั้งหลายก็หันมามองเด็กนั้นอีก ผู้ซึ่งอายุขัยร่อยหรอใกล้สิ้น; ครั้นรู้ว่าเหลือชีวิตเพียงห้าวัน ก็หวั่นเกรงว่าพรที่ให้ไว้จะกลายเป็นคำไม่จริง
