दौहित्रं खड्गमित्युक्तं ललाटे शृङ्गमस्ति यत् । तस्य शृंगस्य यत्पात्रं तद्दौहित्रमिति स्मृतम्
dauhitraṃ khaḍgamityuktaṃ lalāṭe śṛṅgamasti yat | tasya śṛṃgasya yatpātraṃ taddauhitramiti smṛtam
คำว่า “เทาหิตระ (dauhitra)” กล่าวกันว่าหมายถึง “คัณฑคะ (khaḍga)” คือสัตว์ที่มีเขาอยู่กลางหน้าผาก และภาชนะที่ทำจากเขานั้นก็ระลึกเรียกว่า “เทาหิตระ”
