พวกนางมักปรากฏอยู่บนต้นศเลษมาตกะ โดยมากพำนักในสถานที่ที่สั่งสมบุญกุศล ด้วยความกระสับกระส่ายตามจังหวะเสียงดัง พวกนางร่ายรำ—และหัวเราะด้วย
