Skanda Purana — Prabhasa Khanda, Shloka 40

आदिमध्यावसानानां ज्ञानानां छिन्नसंशयाः । परापरविशेषज्ञा नेतारः परमां गतिम् । अवध्या ब्राह्मणास्तस्मात्पापेष्वपि रताः सदा

ādimadhyāvasānānāṃ jñānānāṃ chinnasaṃśayāḥ | parāparaviśeṣajñā netāraḥ paramāṃ gatim | avadhyā brāhmaṇāstasmātpāpeṣvapi ratāḥ sadā

ท่านเหล่านั้นตัดความสงสัยในญาณ—ทั้งเบื้องต้น ท่ามกลาง และที่สุด—ให้ขาดสิ้น รู้ความต่างแห่งสภาวะสูงและต่ำ จึงนำผู้คนไปสู่คติอันสูงสุด เพราะฉะนั้นพราหมณ์จึงเป็นผู้ไม่พึงฆ่า แม้จะหมกมุ่นในบาปกรรมอยู่เสมอ
