กาลก่อน พระโสมะผู้ถูกโรคกษัย (โรคซูบผอม) ครอบงำ ได้บำเพ็ญอาราธนาต่อพระองค์นั้น (โสมेशวร) แล้วพระองค์ก็มีพระวรกายปราศจากโรค—ดังเช่นกษัตริย์ปาณฑยะในภายหลัง
