sūta uvāca | evamuktvā sa bhagavāṃstrailokyadīpako haraḥ | antardhānaṃ gato viprā yathā dīpo'tra tatkṣaṇāt
Sūta
Tirtha: Niṣadhā-purī Śiva-sannidhāna (contextual)
Type: kshetra
Listener: brāhmaṇas (viprāḥ)
Scene: Hara, radiant like a cosmic lamp, finishes speaking; in the next instant his form dissolves into light, leaving the brāhmaṇas astonished, as if a lamp has been snuffed out.
Divine presence may appear and withdraw instantly; therefore one should value instruction and darśana when it is granted.
The verse sits within the Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra / Naleśvara Māhātmya stream of the Nāgara Khaṇḍa’s tīrtha narration.
No direct ritual is prescribed here; it narrates Śiva’s sudden disappearance after speaking.
