नागा ऊचुः । भोगानपि प्रभुंजाना न वयं तत्र पद्मज । शक्नुमो वस्तुमुर्व्यां नस्तस्मात्स्थानं प्रदर्शय । मर्यादया वर्तयामो यत्रस्था मानवैः समम्
nāgā ūcuḥ | bhogānapi prabhuṃjānā na vayaṃ tatra padmaja | śaknumo vastumurvyāṃ nastasmātsthānaṃ pradarśaya | maryādayā vartayāmo yatrasthā mānavaiḥ samam
เหล่านาคกล่าวว่า: “โอ้ผู้บังเกิดจากดอกบัว แม้เราจะเสวยสุขอยู่ที่นั่น เราก็มิอาจพำนักบนพื้นพิภพได้ เพราะฉะนั้นโปรดชี้สถานที่อันเหมาะสมให้เรา ที่ซึ่งเราจะอยู่โดยรักษามรรยาทา และอาศัยร่วมกับมนุษย์ได้”
