तद्दृष्ट्वा सुमहल्लिंगं रुधिराक्तं जलैः प्लुतम् । ब्राह्मणाः संशयगता दह्यमाना वसुन्धरा
taddṛṣṭvā sumahalliṃgaṃ rudhirāktaṃ jalaiḥ plutam | brāhmaṇāḥ saṃśayagatā dahyamānā vasundharā
ครั้นเห็นลึงคะอันมหึมานั้น—เปื้อนโลหิตและชุ่มท่วมด้วยสายน้ำ—พราหมณ์ทั้งหลายก็ตกอยู่ในความสงสัย และแผ่นดินดูประหนึ่งกำลังลุกไหม้
