yathā sarveṣu varṇeṣu vipro mukhyatamo bhavet | madhye sarvatarūṇāṃ ca brahmavṛkṣo mahottamaḥ

ดุจดังในหมู่วรรณะทั้งปวง พราหมณ์นับว่าเป็นผู้ประเสริฐที่สุด ฉันใด ในหมู่ไม้ทั้งปวง ต้นพรหมพฤกษ์ก็เป็นยอดยิ่งฉันนั้น
