Transliteration

purāṇānāṃ naiva pāṭhaḥ śravaṇaṃ kārayetsadā | smṛtyuktaṃ sugurorgrāhyaṃ na pāṭhaḥ śravaṇādikam

Translation

ไม่ควรจัดให้มีการสาธยายหรือการฟังปุราณะอยู่เนืองนิตย์ แต่ควรรับเอาถ้อยคำที่กล่าวไว้ในสมฤติจากครูผู้ประเสริฐ มิใช่เพียงการสาธยาย การฟัง และสิ่งทำนองนั้น
